The best places for single women travellers in Amsterdam to explore are the Qud-Zuid Sector where the pesky men who prey on females are pretty absent. The Jan Luyken hotel is pretty safe in this area as it is a four star facility managed by females, the room are spacious, quiet and decorated with a women’s touch in them. The girl stuff package in the washrooms is pretty impressive. The hotel is also close to major things to do in Amsterdam such as museums, concert halls and shopping venues.

Single women travellers with cost constraints could check in at Hotel Smit, three star family hotels located close to the shopping streets. The hotel offers extremely hospitable service and a friendly neighbourhood.

Safety tips for females and things to avoid in Amsterdam:

Most travel expert’s alert women on refraining from visiting eh red light area during their Amsterdam travel to avoid physical and verbal abuses from men. There are few more things not to do here which are.

  • Parking is difficult and expensive in the city and strict parking rules are followed here which special focus on foreign cars. Fines and abandments are common for those who don’t adhere to the rules.
  • Do not take pictures of women on streets, even if they ask for. They might elope with the camera pushing you aside.
  • Single women travellers should refrain from travelling in trams without valid tickets.
  • Walking along the bicycle lanes is to be avoided as these are express roads in the city where the bikes rule. Try to get quickly out of the way of bikers if you had to stand there for a chat or to look through the map.
  • Smoking in trains and train stations is to be strictly avoided. Smoking pillars are specifically constructed for this.
  • Red light zone is to be avoided, along with capturing pictures of the occupied windows. Cameras are to be kept safe from pick pocketrs.
