10 Best Destinations to Visit in Cape Town

Cape Town is a port city on South Africa’s southwest coast, on a peninsula beneath the imposing Table Mountain. Slowly rotating cable cars climb to the mountain’s flat top, from which there are sweeping views of the city, the busy harbor and boats heading for Robben Island in Table Bay.

The Garden route

The Garden route is one such incredibly scenic place. The beautiful creeks and shores that pass you by are certainly worth the trip.
Additionally there are quite a few activities like Boat rides, abseiling, hiking, fishing, mountain biking, sailing, bungi jumping and more to try out here. This place has quite a few surprises in store and is sure to be a wonderful destination. Adventurers should certainly consider travelling to this place during their trip to Cape Town.

Fish Hoek

Fish Hoek is a coastal town at the eastern end of the Fish Hoek Valley on the False Bay side of the Cape Peninsula in Cape Town, South Africa. Previously a separate municipality, Fish Hoek is now part of the City of Cape Town.

Chapman's Peak is the name of a mountain on the western side of the Cape Peninsula. The drive to it is quite scenic and a must do while in Cape Town. The drive itself is worth it but there is a lot to do in this area too.

Robben Island

Robben Island is quite rightfully a UNESCO World Heritage site. The importance of the site lies in its role in the History of not just South Africa but the entire continent of Africa.

Kirstenbosch National Botanical Gardens

These Unique and Beautiful Botanical Gardens are a real treat for the nature lover. Home to several rare and even endangered species of plants and animals, the botanical gardens are extremely important from the point of view of ecology and conservation. The Fynbos which are a rare variety of bush-like vegetation which are unique to this geographical area are preserved and bred here. Around 7000 species of plants are currently under cultivation.

Clifton Beaches

 Clifton one of the most affluent neighborhoods in Cape Town, its beaches are a treat to eyes. White sand, clean waters and a landscaped view of the table mountain add to the allure of the place.
